LinkedIn is one of the last social networks to add native video sharing. The platform is testing it right now with a selected number of users using the LinkedIn mobile app.
Users can record video on the app either horizontally or vertically for up to 20 minutes. These videos will automatically play as users scroll through their feed. The analytics of these videos is where everything gets really neat. The analytics will share normal things such as view count, likes, and shares, but it will also give information about the viewer such as where they work and their job titles.
While this feature has been available to their most popular users for some time now, it’s more widespread rollout could signal changes in how to brand posts on LinkedIn in the near future.
