Team building is always an important part of developing relationships and skills throughout your agency. When creativity starts drying up in the workplace, consider opting into a marketing competition or contest. Select a big event that your team puts on, build a video, share some stats, and submit it into a contest. Or don’t. Either way, creating content that showcases your agency is a great way to bring the team together.
Whether or not you decide to enter a competition, this exercise will give your team a new goal to focus on together, and the end result will be useful material to share on social media and use for other promotional purposes. Many competitions have a hosted awards ceremony where participants can gather and meet. Similar to a convention, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded industry-related people; it’s a great networking opportunity.
Can’t Find a Competition? Make One!
You don’t need to be a marketing agency to pull this off. If you’re having trouble finding a similar activity in which to participate, create one yourself. Network with people in your industry who are hosting a convention, local meetup, or other event. Then invite attendees to participate by sharing videos that they have created showcasing their agency or facility. To make it more interesting, turn into a competition by offering some sort of award. Hosting this type of event is a good way to get your agency’s name out there and bring other people together.
Don’t be afraid to be creative and try something new. It’s never a bad idea to bring together your team to showcase their efforts and create media that can be shared online and with others in the community.
